  1. Wings of Hope sold out in record time this year, Only 3 1/2 hours to sell 4000 tickets. If you wanted a raffle ticket I hope you’ve already got it.

    1. Impressive, they sure have a valuable mailing list at this point. I did manage to snag a ticket for myself. Thanks.

  2. Hi, was just looking at that 172 from the Miami Police….it is not registered to them…
They state that they will use the money they make to purchase it…
There is no date when it will be raffled off…
I have seen these before…will be watching it, would recommend caution.
Hey…prove me wrong I would buy a ticket or two.

    1. They’ve listed a closing date of Jan 1 regardless of number of tickets sold. It’s legit. I know the airport manager and the mechanic who restored it. Nobody around here is a professional airplane raffle expert and state laws prevented using some of the normal online airplane raffle tools but rest assured, the airplane will be awarded to the winner.

    2. I found the raffle on the Miami OK Police Department’s website. It’s not in their name because the organization will use the funds to purchase it from the aviation partner and then transfer to the winner. Plus, it was restated in a local newspaper., etc. Looks legit….the tail number is registered to the partner that is listed on the police department’s website.

    1. According to the post card I received from Wings of Hope, Tickets/chances for the 1972 Cherokee 180 will cost $75 for a Single raffle ticket And $195 for three raffle tickets.
I don’t think they are going to sell out in 3.5 hours like they did last time

    1. An acquaintance of mine has won the RAF Cessna 150. It is a beautifully restored plane. They have done an excellent job on it. I look forward to flying with him.
